Task 1, Listening to Problem-Solving

In Part 1 or Task 1, the test-taker will listen to a conversation/dialogue between two (2) people The two people do not know each other, but one of the speakers has a problem and asks the other person, who works in a public organization, for help. This task is broken into 3 distinct listening parts that have 2 or 3 questions that follow, for example:

Task 1 – in order

Each of the 11 listening recordings in Task 1 is 60 to 90 seconds in length, test takers have exactly 30 seconds to answer each question. So, if there are 3 questions after a listening recording, the test taker will have 1 minute and 30 of total time (3? X 30 seconds) to answer.

Remember: The questions will be spoken to you – you have 30 seconds to answer each individual question.
