Know the structure of the Listening Part of the CELPIP Exam

  1. Each task starts with a ‘pre-listening statement’ or general information about the audio recording you are about to listen to.
  2. Each task starts with a ‘pre-listening statement’ or general information about the audio recording you are about to listen to.
  3. You will hear the recording only once.
  4. You have no control over the start of the recording
  5. You cannot ‘pause’ the recording.
  6. Passages and questions increase in difficulty as the exam moves forward.
  7. Paper and a pencil/pen are provided
  8. Count-down timers (on the computer screen) are used with each Task (1-6).
